\tReaders, Building Relationships and Trust - Funding Strategies Connect July 2019
\t
\tDear Readers,
\tWelcome to the July 2019 edition of Funding Strategies Connect!
\t"Building Relationships and Trust"
\tWe continue to see demand from strategic investors for opportunities that add value to their company's operations, portfolios, or support their investment thesis. Typically they are looking for a product fit, access to new technologies or platforms or where there is a geography play (or just a good deal!). A number of our clients are currently in discussions with such investors and we would be hopeful a number of transactions will close over time.
\tIt is important to build relationships with investors and part of our role is to help navigate the "transactional issues" around concluding a transaction. We very much focus on building trust between the parties and decreasing completion risk. People buy of people and in the current environment it is important to be flexible and open to different deal structures and opportunities.
\tSo where do these investors come from? The chart below shows the investments by geography of our investors with the majority coming from Victoria followed by overseas investors. The majority of investments are made from companies / professional investors, followed by overseas investors.
\tThis edition of our newsletter includes:
\t\tUpdates from Instant Consult, Qponics, HighLow Fitness and Ocular Robotics;
\t\tFlora's and my upcoming CRECCHKI International Market Talk;
\t\tAn introduction to our new team member, Alessandro Costa;
\t\tUpcoming ACBC events.
\tAs always, I invite you download our updated deal list from our website (log-in required, membership is free).

\tMy team and I look forward to hearing from you!
