Coinciding with the launch of a second capital raise, Opmantek Ltd (ASSOB:OMK) continues to expand its global presence with the opening of its 5th international sales office in Oxford, UK to service the UK and European region.
Opmantek has over 60,000 organisations using their software, with a new organisation implementing an Opmantek product ever 6 minutes. The European region makes up approximately 25% of this user base with over 15,000 organisations in UK and Europe currently using Opmantek’s open source network management and audit software. The establishment of a technical sales office in the region will allow Opmantek to better service the growing number of enquiries for high value licensing and support agreements.
Demand for Opmantek products is being fuelled by a growing awareness worldwide of the benefits of using open source software in enterprise and IT environments. These benefits include increased security, ease of deployment and scalability. Earlier this week, results of the 2015 Future of Open Source survey revealed 78% of respondents use open source to run their business, up from 44% in 2010, with 66 percent of respondents stating that they consider open source software before other options.
Opmantek is raising capital to facilitate the establishment of additional technical sales teams in identified growth regions.
