AqMB offers "PFD export to CAD software, smartPFD mode, plant rollback & simplified stream numbering"

 

  • Transition easily from BFD to PFD to P&ID

AqMB Designer now lets you create a true process flow diagram complete with rotating equipment, and export the drawing to CAD software in .dxf format. Block and line entities are preserved for rearrangement in your favourite CAD application. Soon, designers will be able to export all equipment attributes and the PFD to Autodesk's Plant3D and AutoCAD software, and bi-directionally sync updates through an API, enabling a quicker transition from basic to detailed design.

  • smartPFD mode

Quickly build out a block flow diagram (BFD) from scratch for simulating scenarios and progressively specify all rotating equipment and details associated with each unit operation. When ready, switch on smartPFD mode and AqMB Designer will drop these items onto your flowsheet so you can finish your PFD. You can build out your basic design first and add rotating equipment later when you are ready to connect with suppliers and specify equipment redundancy and sizing.
AqMB will calculate operating costs for each scenario and this gets even better when using our virtual marketplace to integrate real vendor data by generating RFQ's and selecting preferred vendors. Build out capital cost estimates, equipment lists and a complete lifecycle evaluation with only a few clicks to select and approve your preferred equipment.

  • Plant Rollback

We know that when simulating scenarios, the latest model run is not always the best one, or the preferred design. That's why we introduced the plant rollback function, allowing designers to create a copy of the plant flowsheet with the sizing details from the result that will form the design basis. This feature creates a new plant file within your project for exporting deliverables including the PFD, mass balance, design report, equipment lists and for connecting with numerous suppliers by sending RFQ's through our virtual marketplace"
